Good ‘un of me… More pics from the LS13 Event, Trinity Leeds

Posted: June 11, 2013 in Events, Other Writing by AJ Kirby

AJ KirbyThis truly awful photo of me was taken at the launch of LS13, the anthology I might have mentioned I’m in (featuring work by the best, THE BEST, 20 authors under 40 living in, working in, or from Leeds).

The ebook version of the anthology is available from Amazon here. And this is the Amazon ‘Product Description’: “LS13 is a snapshot of a generation of emerging writers working or living in Leeds today. The selection is diverse – from sea shanties about Clarence Dock to science fiction, social realism, concrete poetry, magic realism, flash fiction, a crime novel, rocket builders, dreamers, monsters and ice men – these are stories from Leeds, in Leeds and outside of Leeds, from the pens and imaginations of our ‘20 under 40’.

Includes work by: Dan Annett · Cristina Archetti · Jenny Beech · Matthew Bellwood · SJ Bradley · Sarah Brooks · Joshua Byworth · Rosa Campbell · Max Dunbar · Gareth Durasow · Aissa Gallie · Lizzi Hawkins · AJ Kirby · Adam Lowe · Zodwa Nyoni · Caleb Parkin · Adam Z. Robinson · Richard Smyth · Claire Stephenson · Matthew Hedley Stoppard”

Here’s some other, nicer pics, including one of the overall winner, Richard Smyth, judge CJ Allen, Dog Horn Publishing head honcho Adam Lowe, and The Leeds Big Bookend organiser in chief, Wes Brown (part of the reason I’m including these pics is I think they look very striking with Lizzy Presst’s illustrated background.):
