LVGI’m pleased to report there has been a lot of traction regarding my Louis van Gaal biography in recent days, following my publishers’ Amazon promotion-push. The book has received three new highly-starred reviews, as well as a fantastic sales boost, which has seen it climb to Number 3 in three individual football books charts.

Reviews

‘History Fan’, in a 4-star review, wrote: “Kirby’s well researched work documents the conflicts and convergences that Van Gaal has had with players, former clubs, and his national team, getting to the heart of how his footballing mind works. This is essential reading for anyone with an interest in English football, even if you hate Manchester United…”

‘Nigel Craig’, in a 5-star review, shouts: “Excellent insight into this complex character.”

‘Book Fanatic’, in a 4-star review, says: “Great research and insight make this a supreme football biography.”

Image4Reviewer Paul Whittle has evaluated and appraised Perfect World for the Big Bookend festival/ website. You can read his artful and insightful commentary here.

And here’s some highlights:

Perfect World is recommended for fans of adventurous science fiction and anyone interested in new novels with contemporary themes.”

“The action is continuous, the narrative entertaining, and the tone urgent throughout, and whenever the atmosphere threatens to become too oppressive, serious matters are often treated with humour.”
